Attention White Flag Volunteers!
The White Flag emergency shelter will be temporarily located at the Center for Women and Families in New Albany, from November 15th to January 5th. Free shuttle rides will be provided to the shelter from St. Marks parking lot on White Flag nights. St. Mark's is located at 222 E Spring St in New Albany, IN. The parking lot is across from St. Mark's on 3rd street. Passengers using the shuttle will need to arrive at the St. Mark's parking lot by either 7:00PM or 8:30PM for pick up. Guests will be dropped back off at St. Marks parking lot around 7:30AM the next morning.
White Flag will continue the rest of the season at the New Albany Salvation Army from January 6th to April 15 and guests are asked to use TARC for transportation to the shelter. Click the button below for more info.

White Flag Emergency Shelter
The Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana sponsors a volunteer-staffed White Flag Emergency Shelter for men, women, and families during inclement weather. All communities members in need of a warm place to sleep are welcome. Adults over the age of 18 must show a state-issued I.D. Showers, cots, dinner, continental breakfast, and sack lunches are provided.

TEMPERATURE: 35 degrees and below for four or more consecutive hours between 7PM and 7AM SOURCE: 3 of the 4 local stations reporting White Flag conditions DECISION: By 3:30 PM each day |
