Service Coordination
The Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana works to coordinate efforts and services. How do we do this? Each month we host service providers coming together to network and learn more about one another services and regional challenges. In addition, service providers are participating our new streamlined entry into services project, which seeks to reduce the number of days of homelessness and ineligible referrals in the region. We are better as one.
Streamline Entry into ServicesThanks to a multi-year grant from the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana and support from the Hazel and Walter T. Bales Foundation, the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana is completing a two year project seeking to streamline entry into services. The project includes assessing eligibility criteria of area service providers, existing resources, and barriers to entry. With that information the project develops and pilots a process to more quickly connect individuals with the services and resources they need. Project completion is set for May of 2020.
